Based on the video, I learned that the brain responds accordingly to what one perceives as ââ¬Å"coolâ⬠. With that being said, Iââ¬â¢m pretty sure that there are studies that gear towards tis feature of the mind. And companies like Apple use these studies when inventing their newest products. For example, technology has evolved immensely in recent years. When Apple began inventing their latest IPhone, Iââ¬â¢m pretty sure that they thought about what would appeal to their consumers. And Iââ¬â¢m positive that psychology had a huge impact on their decisions. In my opinion, there a lot of other areas of society that could be impacted by psychology. Such areas influenced are career choices, fashion, and social habits like drinking and smoking to name a few. All of these societal aspects described can be influenced by different areas of the mind. And we all know that in general todayââ¬â¢s societies seek to be accepted by all. I know for me the nature versus nurture theory is a huge influence on different aspects of my life. I was raised by a single parent in a poverty stricken neighborhood. My mother didnââ¬â¢t graduate high school. So education is big for me, which would lead to a better career choice. What is fashionably acceptable or not can be related to the video because everyone has a different perception of what is cool or not.

Benjamin Franklin believed that by watching and studying oneââ¬â¢s own behavior, that person would be able to improve themselves by knowing their like and dislikes, wants and needs, etc. I agree with Franklinââ¬â¢s theory and think that this is one of the few things in life that a person has control over in order to change their overall being. For the best or worst knowing yourself makes it easier to decide things for yourself and gets a person to become, in a way, one with themselves. Analyzing oneââ¬â¢s own behavior is very beneficial if the person is strong or willing enough to not only realize their good qualities but also recognize the bad things about themselves. By studying your behavior you can find things that make up your character and, individually change or eliminate those factors so that youââ¬â¢re a better person. If a person is mentally weak, the recognizing of their bad traits may discourage them or cause a downfall in some aspect of their lives. You would be able to focus more on how you want to be and work towards that goal b y ââ¬Å"adding or subtractingâ⬠good traits for bad ones. à à à à à Working towards your goal would be fulfilling in that youââ¬â¢re working towards a physical and/or mental mindset of how you want to be. Of course, no one would have the same goal. One personââ¬â¢s goal may sound like anotherââ¬â¢s but our differing characters and ways of examining life will make them different and unique. In my own experience, examining my behavior helped me to begin exercising. Before I started to exercise, I had a lot of extra time on my hands and felt that I wasnââ¬â¢t where I wanted to be physically because of noticing that I wasnââ¬â¢t able to run as fast as I once could. After realizing this, I began to exercise and, enjoyed it to the point where after my running time returned I continued to work out. I felt good about myself and how exercising is a part of my schedule. I found out what I needed to fill the gap in my life through self-examination. à à à à à Although self-improvement by self-examination, in my opinion is good, there are limits. No human being is perfect! If you try to become perfect, you will fail. We all have our own faults and they may or may not exist all the time. There are important steps that should be taken when looking for a new teacher. Here are a few of them.à Understand Your Needs Every school has their own needs when it comes to hiring a new teacher and its important that the person or people in charge of hiring understand exactly what those are. Examples of specific needs might include certification, flexibility, personality, experience, curriculum, and, most importantly, the individual philosophy of the school or district. Understanding these needs before you begin the interview process allows those in charge to have a better idea of what you are looking for. One of the important variables that are affected due to differences in organizational culture is employees performance. Having varied culture within an organization may affect the performance of the employee in a great way (Hiatt, Grandy Lee., 2015). Oil and gas industry also faces cultural challenges over the years in maintaining good culture in their environment and benefitting the employees. Oil and gas industry is facing huge challenges as it is getting reduced amount of oil reservoirs, which is enabling them to give proper opportunities to its employees. On the other hand, lack of oil availability is making its difficult for the oil companies to maint ain good relation with other companies, which is putting their culture at stake. However, the employees also face a lot of difficulty in communicating with the stakeholders at the time of crisis, which put the organizational culture at stake (Dupuis, 2018). Recommendations The work environment and the complexities in the oil and gas industry has increased the difficulty of setting equal standards in the industry. The following recommendations may be beneficial for improving the work culture and organizational performance in the oil and gas industry. The industry leaders can work towards cultural change by promotion of collaboration with the other regulatory groups for safety among the workers and contractors There must be safety and environmental standard in the organization that will help in the preparation of incident report and data to the public in a timely manner. Less emphasis must be given on formalization and thus it will provide the experts to handle their work operations that will lead to higher job satisfaction in the oil and gas company (Dupuis, 2018). Conclusion From the above analysis, it can be deduced that organizational culture has huge impact on various aspects of the business and its employees. It has been seen that the culture in an organization has both negative and positive impact on the organization. It is a factor that helps in determining the performance of the employee to a large extent.
